Harlequins have received a huge boost ahead of their Heineken Cup clash with Connacht on Friday with the news that centre Jordan Turner-Hall has committed his future to the club.

The 23-year-old centre has signed a new contract which will keep him at the Stoop until the end of the 2013-14 season. Having taken his bow for the Quins in October 2006 aged just 18 against Bristol, the centre has seen his stock rise culminating in a series of impressive performances for the England Saxons last summer. And he was also in the England squad which took on the Barbarians at Twickenham at the end of the 2011-12 season.

Alongside George Lowe, the pair have formed a formidable centre partnership and have played a key role in Harlequins' unbeaten start to the season. And the centre is looking forward to a bright future with the club and hopes to push on for international recognition in the near future.

"I am delighted to have signed a two-year deal with an exciting team who are going in the right direction," Turner-Hall said. "I have worked very hard over the last two years and feel I have grown as a player. I have really started to see the rewards and, hopefully, this has not only benefited me, but also the team.

"There is a great culture at Quins, where every player works hard not only to be the best that they can be but also for each other. I would love to push for representative honours in the near future and to play, once again, at the next level, but this comes with playing well for Harlequins and, hopefully, winning more silverware with the club.

"There are exciting times ahead, and I am looking forward to being a part of it."

And Harlequins boss Conor O'Shea was delighted with Turner-Hall's commitment to the side and looks forward to the 23-year-old fulfilling his potential at the Stoop. "We are delighted Jordan has committed to Harlequins," O'Shea said. "It is hard to believe that Jordan is still only 23. His game has gone from strength to strength and he is now a more complete player than he was when he was involved in the senior England set up a few seasons ago.

"Jordan is a warrior, with massive ambitions for himself and his team mates at Harlequins, and we are looking forward to him pushing on in the coming years and fulfilling his huge potential as a player."
