Rob Webber has undergone surgery to correct a shoulder injury, meaning that the England hooker has played his last game for Wasps.

The 25-year-old tore his rotator cuff in England's Six Nations victory over France two weeks ago and went under the knife on Monday, ending his season.

Next season will see Webber plying his trade for Bath, but he is keen to remain involved at Wasps until the end of the current campaign.

"I'm really disappointed that I won't play for Wasps again and it's a frustrating way to end my playing career with the club," he said.

"I will absolutely be around the club from now until the end of the season and will do anything I can to help the squad in the final run-in."
