Harlequins will be without winger Ugo Monye for three months after he was forced off early in their Aviva Premiership opener against London Irish.

Monye, 31, scored in the 10th minute but he lasted 17 more before being forced off. And on Wednesday Monye Tweeted he was going to be out for three months as he had "pulled the tendon of the bone in my groin".

With Monye out and Sam Smith now at Worcester after leaving Quins at the end of last season, the club will now look to new signing Marland Yarde, Ollie Lindsay-Hague, Charlie Walker, Asaeli Tikoirotuma and Tom Williams as their options on the flanks.
