Saracens flanker Jacques Burger will appear in front of a European Professional Club Rugby to answer charges after allegedly striking during their match against Racing Metro.

Saracens beat Racing 12-11 thanks to a last minute penalty from Marcelo Bosch but Burger, who started at openside, now faces an anxious wait to see if he will be found guilty of striking. The charge relates to an incident with Racing scrum-half Maxime Machenaud.

Ireland's Eugene Ryan registered the complaint and he will face a disciplinary panel on Thursday. If he is found guilty, suspensions range from the low entry point of two weeks up to a top end of anything up to a year.
