Romain Poite is a French professional referee who has taken charge of matches in the Rugby World Cup, Heineken Cup and the Six Nations.
Poite made his RWC debut in the 2007 tournament when Ireland struggled past Namibia in Bordeaux. A television match official and assistant referee in the 2009 Six Nations, he was given the whistle for the first time to referee Ireland's opening match against Italy at Croke Park in 2010.
