Leinster front-rowers John Fogarty and Ronan McCormack have been forced to retire due to injury.

Hooker Fogarty, capped once by Ireland on this summer's tour to New Zealand, has called it a day after a series of concussions while Ireland 'A' prop McCormack has succumbed to a neck injury after 118 games for Leinster, Connacht and Ulster.

"It is regrettable that both players are retiring due to injury," Leinster chief executive Mick Dawson said.

"Both John and Ronan are immensely popular and talented individuals who each played a significant role in Leinster's recent on-field success.

"I would like to thank both players for their outstanding commitment, professionalism and service to the game of rugby in Ireland."
