Rising stars Alex Corbisiero and Tom Homer have committed their futures to London Irish by signing new two-year contract extensions.

The deals will keep the pair at the Madejski stadium until at least the end of the 2012/13 season. Both are products of the London Irish academy and have become important members of the Exiles' squad in recent seasons.

The 22-year-old Corbisiero, a prop, is currently a member of the England Saxons set-up and has made 50 appearances for Irish, while 20-year-old Homer, who operates on the wing or from fullback, is also on course for senior international honours in the future after becoming an integral part of the England under-20 team.

And London Irish head coach Toby Booth believes they both have a big future at the club. He said: "Alex and Tom have had a major impact both in the Premiership and international rugby since they graduated from our Academy to the senior squad. We're delighted that they have extended their contracts as they will have key roles to play in realising the ambitions of this club."

Homer, who scored two tries on his Premiership debut as an 18-year-old in 2008, has made 34 appearances for Irish, scoring seven tries, but his first-team opportunities this season have been limited by the return to action of Topsy Ojo and the emergence of Jonathan Joseph.

Corbisiero, who was born in New York City and starred at tight-head for England under-19 and 20 sides, has made a big impact this season and scored a try for the Exiles during their Heineken Cup defeat to Toulon.
