Leicester flanker Tom Croft is hopeful his side can keep their Heineken Cup hopes alive as they travel to Belfast to take on Ulster on Friday.

Croft has been part of a Leicester side who have turned around their fortunes significantly this season. The club were 10th in the Premiership before going on a run which has seen them lose just one game in their past 11 outings, and Croft says it is time for the Tigers to produce in a similar way in the Heineken Cup.

"We've been forced to scrap our way through must-win matches for the last couple of months, so we're well prepared in that regard for Ravenhill," Croft told the Telegraph. "All that stands us in good stead.

"You have to learn to tough it out and that's what we've been doing. We've had our backs to the wall but shown the character to come through.

"The boys are good at sticking together in tight situations and we'll certainly need to show huge resolve if we're to get what we want against Ulster."

Last week's win against the Wasps will give Leicester plenty of cause for hope on their travels as depleted squad managed a 29-11 triumph.

"That performance was testimony to the sort of players we have at the club, guys who put the team first and foremost and just get on with things," said Croft. "It was certainly like that when we came back from the World Cup. There was no moping about, the lads just got stuck in."
