Scarlets boss Nigel Davies has dispelled fears that the region will lose some of their stellar names come the summer.

The Welsh regions are currently attempting to tie down some of their stars onto new deals with the lure of the cross-Channel switch a constant factor. Dragons lock Luke Charteris has already confirmed that he will leave Rodney Parade at the end of the campaign while front-row duo Gethin Jenkins and Adam Jones are also considering leaving Wales to ply their trade abroad.

But while Davies concedes that some players will leave the Scarlets come the summer, he claims that every single out of contract player wants to stay at the side. Prop Rhys Thomas is reportedly being chased by Worcester while Jonathan Davies' contract is up at the end of the season.

"My focus is to make sure we maintain this squad of players and strengthen if we can for next season," Davies told Wales Online. "I have spoken to all the players and I have been quite clear who I want in the squad for next season. Once I know what my funding situation is, I will be able to finalise the talks with all those players.

"There are a number of players off contract and they are speaking to other clubs. But what is good from our point of view is that every player has said they want to stay. That is a positive and we just have to make sure we know what our funding is so we can finalise those negotiations."
