Scotland international Kelly Brown has signed a contract extension with Saracens.

The 29-year-old back-rower, who has won 49 caps for Scotland, has committed his future to the Premiership champions. He joined Sarries in the summer of 2010 from Glasgow Warriors and went on to play a central role as they took the Premiership crown last summer.

Brown was in line to skipper Scotland in this season's Six Nations but was ruled out of the tournament through injury. Brown said: "The move south has worked out brilliantly for me, my wife and our two young children, on and off the field. We are very happy to stay a good while longer.

Sarries director of rugby Mark McCall said: "Kelly is an outstanding international rugby player, who has been brilliant for Saracens. We are delighted he has committed his future to the club."

Winger Chris Wyles has also committed his future to Saracens by signing a new contract.
