Sale Sharks' new signing Danny Cipriani has revealed that he is keen on turning out for the club in this Friday's leg of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby Sevens Series.

Cipriani arrived at the Sharks last Monday and may yet complete his first fortnight with the club by running out at Edgeley Park on Friday. But Cipriani, although keen on trying his hand in the J.P Morgan 7s Series, admits his involvement will be based on where he is in his pre-season routine.

"I've only been here in Manchester a week but in terms of the feel I've had it has been good," Cipriani said. "There is a great buzz around the city and all the boys seem to love it and I'm very much looking forward to being here.

"It's something I would like to be part of [the J.P. Morgan 7s] as long as it fits in with my pre-season and it's in the right place because they obviously have a certain plan for me in terms of my fitness and they are working me pretty hard at the moment so we're going to have to see how we feel when it comes to the Sevens.

"It will be discussed within the squad in terms of what they want to do with their training and where they are but I know obviously it's at Edgeley Park so it'll be important to a lot of people that we put on a good show."

London Irish and Saracens progressed to the final of the competition after impressing at the Stoop on Friday evening and two of Sale, Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers and London Welsh will hope to join them.
