London Welsh have bolstered their front-row resources with the signing of French duo Franck Montanella and Arthur Joly.

Both props arrive from Bourgoin and the duo played in their clash with the Scarlets at the weekend and did enough to earn permanent deals at the Exiles. Montanella has one French cap to his name and has previously turned out for Stade Francais while Joly has Under-20 experience with France.

Welsh head coach Lyn Jones was delighted with his new captures saying: "They're both very experienced in the French leagues, which is a tough environment for front five forwards. They're both good scrummagers and they carry well - they'll give us some much needed bulk.

"With Franck and Arthur on board, as well as Paulica Ion and the boys we've kept from last year, our front row is capable of competing in the Aviva Premiership."
