Hull pull plug on Biggs' cross-code move

Hull have pulled out of their cross-code deal to sign Bath winger Tom Biggs.

The move was announced back in October with Hull FC signing Biggs on a three-year contract and they hoped he would join them in time for the current Super League season. That part of the move never materialised and Hull have announced they will not be pushing through the cross-code move.

A statement on the Hull FC website, read: "The Bath pace man signed with the Black and Whites last year and was expected to make the switch from rugby union in the early part of this season. However, the player has been unable to agree an early release from his current club and Hull FC have decided to withdraw their offer with their current Super League campaign now well underway."

Biggs is now back on the market and Worcester were linked with a move for him in last Sunday's Rugby Paper. Warriors boss Dean Ryan would not be drawn about the potential switch when asked by the BBC earlier this week.

"Speculation doesn't serve anybody. I've said all season that players announcements come through the club," Ryan said. "I don't comment on what the Rugby Paper puts in. We have a recruitment strategy here. We announce signings when we've got them and that will be the same going forward."
