After conquering Europe for the third year running, Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal wants to take his side to the USA and Japan.

Toulon became the first team to win three European Cups on the trot on Saturday when they defeated Clermont Auvergne 24-18 at Twickenham. It was is a team that draws on players from Australia, Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa and France and Boudjellal is keen to continue this worldwide reach by taking his team overseas.

When asked about his future dreams, Boudjellal, speaking in the aftermath of Saturday's final, told Midi Olympique: "Organise a Top 14 match in the USA and a European Cup match in Japan. That's what I will tell my colleagues in the Top 14. Instead of putting up barriers to prevent me developing rugby, listen to me sometimes I'm not talking bulls**t ..."

And Boudjellal is hopeful Bernard Laporte will help amplify Toulon's presence within the key decision makers of European rugby. Laporte will leave the club after next season and is expected to take up a role in the French Rugby Federation (FFR) and Boudjellal is hopeful that will help Toulon's voice being heard.

"I hope you I shall open doors when you're in the FFR," Boudjellal said. "Seriously, it is incredible that Toulon has no representation in Ligue Nationale de Rugby or even EPCR. Moreover, French leaders of this institution are non-existent. How could they leave the English decide to hold the final in London?"
