Clermont Auvergne have earmarked Bath's Semesa Rokoduguni as a potential target ahead of next season, according to reports in Midi Olympique.

The wing merry-go-round is in full flow in the Top 14 with there an element of uncertainty over just who will be playing where next term. Clermont had agreed a deal for Waisake Naholo but reports in New Zealand suggest he is keen to back out of the deal in favour of staying at the Highlanders.

"We have a contract, as long as it is valid, Naholo will be a Clermont player next season," Clermont's Jean-Marc Lhermet told the newspaper. "We know that the NZRU wants him back. These things are simple: pre-contracts can be broken if they pay the forfeit clause. If they want to keep him the NZRU will have to pay this clause."

Adding to the cocktail of upheavel is Toulon's apparent lessoning interest in Clermont's Napolioni Nalaga. Mourad Boudjellal announced the deal earlier in the season but Nalaga is a non-JIFF player and Toulon, according to the same newspaper, are keen to pull the plug on the deal or loan him out. Clermont are said to not be interested in offering him a new contract hence their interest in Rokoduguni.

Rokoduguni, however, has another year left on his contract with Bath. Any deal would have to involve a transfer fee for the one-cap England winger if he is to follow in the footsteps of ex-Bath team-mate Nick Abendanon in joining Clermont.
