Bath have announced that academy graduates Guy Mercer, Nick Scott and Josh Ovens have all signed new deals with the club.

Flanker Mercer has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, while versatile back Scott and back-row Ovens have both signed on for another season, much to the delighted of director of rugby Ian McGeechan.

"We are really looking forward to continuing to work with Guy, Josh and Nick," the former Lions boss said. "They have proven themselves to be very capable young players already this season, so it will be interesting to see them develop further and make the push for regular first team places.

"Their enthusiasm and commitment to training is fantastic, and they are dedicated to working hard to improve on their already impressive skill set, which is exactly the kind of player we want here at Bath."
