Gloucester have tied down promising youngsters Gareth Evans and Dan Robson onto new deals.

Back-row Evans and scrum-half Robson have both featured for the first team with Evans appearing on two occasions in the Aviva Premiership and Robson three times. Robson is set to be in the frame for the U20 2012 Six Nations after turning out for England in the 2011 Junior World Championships last summer.

And Gloucester academy manager Mark Cornwell has claimed that the pair have been rewarded for their commitment and hard work. "Dan and Gareth have both come on leaps and bounds in their time here at Gloucester," Cornwell said. "They've both got talent but have also applied themselves and this is reflected in their development.

"They've both had a taste of first team action and the challenge now is for them to carry on working hard and force their way into the senior matchday squad on a regular basis. I'm really pleased for them both and hopefully they'll have a big future with Gloucester Rugby."
