London Irish fly-half Ian Humphreys has signed a one-year contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.

The 30-year-old, who joined from Ulster in 2012 and went on to score 147 points last season, said: "Last season was difficult for all of us but I know we will be better for that experience. The club has also been great to my family over the last year which is very important to me. I'm now looking forward to the start of the season and what will be an exciting Premiership campaign."

London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith said: "It is great that Ian has extended his current contract with us. It is important to build a team around key players and with Ian here for the next three years we are able to do that. His partnership with Tomás O'Leary worked very well in the early part of last season so we are looking forward to seeing the two Irish boys back on the park again at the start of this season."
