London Wasps have announced the capture of their former centre Ben Jacobs from the Western Force.

Jacobs joined Wasps in 2009 and turned out 57 times for the Aviva Premiership outfit. He departed Adams Park in 2011 to join Japanese club Kyuden Voltex and then linked up with the Force. But Wasps have moved quickly to re-sign the centre and he will link-up with the club for the forthcoming season.

"Ben's experience will be a big asset for us this season," Wasps boss Dai Young said. "Losing Lee Thomas to retirement was a real disappointment for both ourselves and the players recently but Ben will come into that midfield mix and do a very good job for us. He knows the club inside out and was very keen to come back here so we're looking forward to him joining up with us again."
