Reports in France say British & Irish Lions centre Jamie Roberts is expected to miss "several weeks" with an ankle injury.

Roberts joined Racing Metro in the summer after he took part in the Lions' series win over Australia. He missed the opening two Tests against the Wallabies due to a leg injury but recovered in time to play the series-clinching third Test in Sydney.

The Welsh centre has only played three matches for his new Top 14 side but he is likely to be out for an extended spell with Rugbyrama breaking the news of his injury. Wales will hope he is fit in time for the first match in their November Test schedule which is against South Africa on November 9.
