Saracens coach Paul Gustard has labelled new recruit Marcelo Bosch a "great acquisition" after he arrived at his new club on Thursday.

Bosch played in five matches for Argentina in the 2013 Rugby Championship and will add another option to the Saracens squad that is already bursting with top players. Bosch arrives at Sarries after seven years at Biarritz and Gustard is delighted with their new acquisition.

"We haven't obviously had the pleasure of working with Marcelo yet but anyone who's seen him play recently - he's been outstanding," Gustard told the Times Series. "He's a very talented footballer who can play in a lot of positions which is crucial when you go into game and you've only got 23 - if you've got a guy who can play in three or four positions in the back line it definitely helps.

"He's a very good goal-kicker as well, he defends very well, he uses the ball in his hands brilliantly. And on top of that going into Europe, when you can only register a certain number of players it's handy having some players who can play across the backline.

"So we're very fortunate to have secured Marcelo and we're looking forward to welcoming him to Saracens in our own way and looking forward to seeing him out on the pitch before too long."

Gustard added that he doesn't "see Marcelo playing for Saracens for a few weeks yet" but is registered for the Heineken Cup.
