Dean Ryan fearful of Leicester Tigers

Worcester Warriors' director of rugby Dean Ryan says that his side are "in trouble against Leicester" this coming Friday unless they can show a turn in form.

Ryan's comments came in the wake of Saturday's 42-3 loss to Exeter Chiefs in the LV=Cup, with a firm eye now cast back on Aviva Premiership matters.

"We understand the game [Exeter] didn't have anything on it but we prepared with this game (Leicester) in mind to give us a springboard into facing probably the biggest challenge of most people's careers," Ryan told Worcester News.

He added: "We've got to see what that looks like in a Premiership game and if it looks like Saturday I'm pretty sure of the outcome."

Warriors are yet to win a game from 12 league outings this season and sit at the bottom of the table, 11 points from safety.

"People can comment all they like but if we represent ourselves like that we're in trouble against Leicester," Ryan noted, aware of the threat that Richard Cockerill's side pose to any hopes of remaining in the top flight.

Worcester resume their Premiership season at Sixways this Friday evening, with the only subtle comfort being that their opposition will be suffering some absences due to international duty.
