London Wasps have signed Glasgow Warriors' fly-half Ruaridh Jackson.

Jackson found himself behind Duncan Weir and Finn Russell in the Warriors' pecking order and has swapped the PRO12 for the Aviva Premiership. Jackson has 23 caps for Scotland and aged 26, he is seen as a potential long-term replacement for current first choice Wasps No.10 Andy Goode.

Jackson spent six seasons at the Warriors but follows in the footsteps of Lorenzo Cittadini, James Gaskell, Rob Miller and Bradley Davies in signing for the club ahead of next season. Wasps boss Dai Young heralded the signing, saying: "I have been very impressed with what I have seen of Ruaridh and I am looking forward to welcoming him to the club.

"He will add to the quality pool of 10s we already have and the competition for that position next season will be very strong."

Jackson added: "I am very excited about joining Wasps. I have been at Glasgow a long time now but I am now relishing this new challenge that lies ahead! After meeting with Dai I was very impressed with what the club has to offer and it is easy to see the club is going in the right direction. I can't wait to start the next stage of my rugby career and to be involved with this great club."
