Leicester Tigers are unsure when England prop Dan Cole will be fit to return to duty.

Cole was sidelined during the 2014 Six Nations with a compressed disc and subsequently missed the rest of the season. There was no timeframe on Cole's recovery after he underwent the necessary surgery and the Tigers are adamant he will not be rushed back into first-team rugby before he is fit.

With Cole injured, Lugovi'i Mulopola stepped into the void at tight-head with Fraser Balmain there as cover.

"He is coming along well. It is just a waiting game. There is no specific target for Dan. We are hoping October, November time, but if that ends up being December or January then that's fine," Tigers boss Richard Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury. "It is just about getting him right, especially in such an important part of his body there will be no risks taken there."
