Gloucester have handed out five debuts ahead of the opening match of the 2014-15 Aviva Premiership season.

The Cherry and Whites underwent a restructuring off-season as one coaching team was replaced with another and a host of new faces were brought in. Five of those players will start the match at Franklin's Gardens on Friday evening with Richard Hibbard, John Afoa, Jacob Rowan, Greig Laidlaw and James Hook all getting the nod.

On the bench, both Mark Atkinson and Steve McColl are named and they will take their first steps in the Premiership if they are given the chance. Matt Kvesic misses the game with a foot injury and Nick Wood due to back spasms.

For Northampton, their side has a settled look with 10 of the players who started the Premiership final featuring in their XV for the game on Friday. Dylan Hartley captains the side with Stephen Myler partnering Lee Dickson at half-back. James Wilson is preferred at fullback to Ben Foden.
