Sharks hungry for more success
August 31, 2000

With the exception of flanker Rob Appleyard, Sale Sharks revert to the side that started against Bath two weeks ago for the visit of Newcastle Falcons on Saturday.

That means former Falcon Martin Shaw, who joined Sale in the summer, will be back in the centre alongside irishman Mel Deane against his old club.

Director of rugby, Adrian Hadley commented, "We are still trying to find our strongest combination and aren't getting carried away by our victories so far. There are areas where we need to improve but there is a good atmosphere in the camp and these boy's are hungry for some success."

Team: Vaughan Going, Matt Moore, Martin Shaw, Mel Deane, Steve Hanley, Niki Little, Bryan Redpath, Adam Black, Joe Clark, Jon Thiel, Guy Manson-Bishop, Andy Whittle, Pete Anglesea, Alex Sanderson, Reb Appleyard

Replacements: Steve Hantley, Steve Davidson, Dan Harris, Phil Winstanley, Norm Rusk, Scott Lines, Andy Morris
