A day after snapping up Gavin Henson, Cardiff Blues have further strengthened their squad with the signing of Marc Breeze, Jamie Corsi and Ryan Tyrrell.

The Welsh region's front-row resources had been depleted by the injury-enforced retirement of Gareth Williams and the temporary loss of T Rhys Thomas after knee surgery.

Consequently, they have acquired the services of former Ospreys hooker Breeze from Aberavon RFC and ex-Scarlets prop Corsi, who had been plying his trade in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Tyrrell has been rewarded with a permanent deal after impressing on a short-term contract in recent weeks.

"Everyone been very responsive in helping me settle in, which has been great, and it almost feels like home away from away already," the former Western Force hooker said.

"It's been good, so I couldn't have asked for a better settling in period from the players and coaching staff."
