Stuart Hogg has signed a long-term professional contract with the Glasgow Warriors, the club has confirmed.

Rated as one of the hottest properties in the Scottish game, the 19-year-old fullback has penned a deal that will keep him with Glasgow until May 2015 at the earliest. Part of the club`s set-up for the past 18 months as a Scottish Rugby Elite Development player, Hogg, who started out with Hawick, has already represented Scotland at U17, 18 and 20 levels.

He is the seventh up-and-coming Glasgow player to commit his future to the club over recent times, with Chris Fusaro, Ryan Grant, Rob Harley, Ruaridh Jackson, Duncan Weir and Ryan Wilson all doing the same. Speaking to glasgowwarriors.org, Hogg said: "I'm hugely excited to have signed a full professional contract and to know I'm going to be part of the club for at least the next three and a half years.

"It's a great place to be, with lots of positive things happening on and off the field in terms of player signings and the move to Scotstoun next season. I'm learning all the time and I'll continue to work extremely hard to keep developing as a player."
