Brian O'Driscoll could make his comeback for Leinster in Friday night's RaboDirect PRO12 clash with the Ospreys.

The Ireland skipper is one of a number of big names in contention for the league leaders, who are currently 11 points clear of Munster at the summit.

O'Driscoll has been out of action since undergoing shoulder surgery in the wake of Ireland's exit from the Rugby World Cup.

Leinster captain Leo Cullen, Kiwi fly-half Mat Berquist and loan signing Brad Thorn, the All Blacks lock, are also vying for a spot in the 22. Thorn and Berquist recently got game-time under their belts as Leinster 'A' hammered Connacht 50-0.

Sean Cronin, Shane Jennings, David Kearney and Fergus McFadden could also feature for Leinster following the conclusion of Ireland's Six Nations campaign, although prop Mike Ross is out with a shoulder injury.

The tight-head was forced off during Ireland's loss to England last weekend and will be assessed by the medical staff prior to a possible comeback against Munster on March 31.
