Ospreys boss Steve Tandy belives fly-half Dan Biggar has earned a recall to the Wales squad for forthcoming tour of Australia.

The 22-year-old playmaker failed to make Wales' Rugby World Cup squad and while he featured in the defeat to the Wallabies in Decemeber, he was left out of Warren Gatland's plans for the Six Nations. He has since starred in the Ospreys' run to the RaboDirect PRO12 final - most recently bagging 25 points in their semi-final victory over Munster - and Tandy believes he should add to his nine Test caps next month.

"I don't want to big him up too much, but Daniel's been great, on and off the field," said Tandy. "He's maturing and is really running our game. 'Biggs' is enjoying himself getting on with where we want to go. He's doing everything and he's really putting both hands up for Wales selection."

But Biggar - who passed 1,000 points for the Ospreys against Munster - was quick to pour cold water on any potential international call up. "The Wales squad is nothing to do with me," said Biggar. "I'm enjoying my job here at the Ospreys. As long as we keep winning I will be happy. It's a nice little memento to pass 1,000 points, but as long as we win the Pro12 final, I wouldn't care if I didn't score another point this year."

Wales caretaker coach Rob Howley will name his squad for a warm-up clash against the Barbarians in Cardiff (June 2) and the three-Test series against Australia on Monday.
