The Cardiff Blues have suffered a pre-season blow with the news that winger Chris Czekaj faces three months out of action.

Czekaj limped off during the Blues' match against Worcester back on August 11 and has now undergone the surgeon's knife. He had suffered ligament damage with his club expecting him to be back in action in late November.

But in better news for the Blues, they have got their international contingent back in club colours for their trip to the Rec to face Bath tomorrow night. Leigh Halfpenny, Alex Cuthbert, Lloyd Williams, Sam Warburton and Bradley Davies all play and they will hope to bounce back from their loss at Gloucester last weekend.

In related news, the Dragons have also suffered a blow ahead of the new season with the news that Darren Waters is out for up to seven months. He ruptured ligaments in his left knee against London Irish last weekend.
