Wales and Cardiff Blues centre Jamie Roberts admits that he is not sure where his future lies with his current deal up at the end of the season.

Roberts started his first match for the Blues in six months on Saturday and scored to help Cardiff to a 34-18 win over Treviso. He has endured an injury plagued couple of seasons but with British & Irish Lions caps to his name, he is still one of the most sought after players in Europe. He was linked with Toulouse earlier in the year but did not follow in the footsteps of James Hook and Gethin Jenkins in making the cross-Channel switch.

But with his Blues deal up at the end of the current campaign, Roberts is unsure where his future lies. "I haven't got a clue what I'm doing next year. I'm completely undecided," Roberts told the BBC. "I haven't got a clue if I'm staying yet or going. Obviously my contract's up and I will have finished my medical degree.

"There's a lot to be resolved and hopefully over the next couple of months we'll get that all sorted. It's quite an exciting place to be. It's the first time in my life where I won't have any commitment with any university work. It is a big crossroads, and who knows. I haven't got a clue."

The Blues are currently second in the RaboDirect PRO12 and Phil Davies will hope to keep many of his stellar names in the region. "It's important we keep all our best players and Jamie's no different," Davies said. "He's doing well for us at the moment. I've been in this game for a long time and we've got some great players here. We want to keep all of them obviously and hopefully Jamie will be no different in wanting to stay."
