Ulster Rugby have apologised after a picture showing two of their players in black face paint appeared on Twitter.

The picture shows fly-half Paddy Jackson and fellow Ireland international Chris Henry supposedly dressed up as members of the Ethiopian Olympic team.

The photo, which also includes three other men who have yet to be identified, was originally posted to Jackson's Twitter profile but has since been removed. Henry is seen on the left of the picture, with Jackson in the centre.

In a statement, Ulster said they "apologise unreservedly for any offence" and added that the picture showed the players at an "Olympic-themed fancy dress party held two years ago".

"It was not the intention of the players to cause upset and the photograph has since been removed."
