Ulster fly-half Paddy Jackson and centre Stuart Olding have both been ruled out of Ireland's entire Six Nations campaign with elbow injuries.

Both injuries were sustained in Ulster's 60-22 drubbing at the hands of double European Champions Toulon on Saturday and both require surgery which will rule the pair out for up to three months. Jackson suffered a dislocated elbow, while Olding has significant ligament damage.

Ulster wing Louis Ludik is out until the end of February with a broken rib picked up against Toulon.

Connacht's Ireland centre will miss this weekend's European Challenge Cup game against La Rochelle with an ankle injury picked up against Exeter on Sunday.

With Jonathan Sexton ruled out of Ireland's opening Six Nations game against Italy, Ian Madigan is now favourite to start at No.10 in the absence of Paddy Jackson.
