Halfpenny returns to action for Blues
ESPN Staff
September 19, 2013

British & Irish Lions star Leigh Halfpenny will make his first start of the season for the Cardiff Blues after being picked at fullback for Friday's game against Zebre.

Halfpenny was the Lions' Player of the Series following his heroics against Australia and is reportedly on the radar of Clermont Auvergne ahead of next season. But all of that will be put to one side when he runs out on to a rugby field for the first time since the third Test against the Wallabies.

And Halfpenny's Wales and Lions team-mate Toby Faletau also makes his first start of the season after being named at No.8 for their game against Scarlets.

There will also be a couple of Ireland's Lions making their return to the field with Cian Healy and Rob Kearney named on Leinster's bench for Friday's game at Glasgow Warriors.
