Highlanders boss Jamie Joseph has been linked with the vacant Cardiff Blues post.

According to reports in the New Zealand media, Joseph has been sounded out about potentially replacing Phil Davies who left his post in March. ONE Sport claim Sir Graham Henry was linked with the post as was former Wallabies coach Robbie Deans.

But it looks like Joseph is the front-runner though he stayed coy when asked about his coaching future and whether he had thought about his next post. "No, I haven't, my focus is solely on the Highlanders," Joseph told ONE Sport. "I've got a job at hand here.

"I haven't really focused. I've got a Rebels game I've got to win. I've got the loyal Otago public here, loyal Invercargill public here, that want to see a successful Highlanders team."

One man who looks set to stay in New Zealand is Tana Umaga. The former All Blacks centre is currently in charge of Counties Manukau and despite being linked with posts in Europe, he has told ESPN he is keen to remain in New Zealand for the time being.
