While the eyes of European rugby were on one retiring great at the Millenium Stadium on Saturday, attention will now turn to another veteran hanging up his boots at the end of the season.
Jonny Wilkinson lifted the Heineken Cup for Toulon on Saturday but next weekend Brian O'Driscoll will lead Leinster against Glasgow Warriors in the RaboDirect PRO12 final. The former Ireland captain hopes to add to his three PRO12 trophies before retiring after the clash at the RDS Arena.
Lining up to stop him will be Chris Fusaro as Glasgow go into their first PRO12 final. The flanker knows the threat posed by O'Driscoll but is determined to see his career end in disappointment.
"It's obviously going to be a very emotional time for him," Fusaro told BBC Scotland. "He's a very big threat in attack and defence.
"Their whole team - they've been playing very well In their semi-final win against Ulster, you could just see the patience they had. It took them until the 72nd minute to win the game, but they still achieved it and it's something they're very good at - closing out the close games."
Glasgow have won their last nine PRO12 fixtures and are bidding to be crowned champions after going out in the play-offs in three of the last four seasons.
"We set out at the start of the season to achieve something that no Scottish club's ever done before and now we've got a massive chance to do that," said Fusaro. "It's just a great feeling to be in the final, but we really need to take the next step. It's a chance to make history.
"It's just an incredible opportunity and something we're all really looking forward to. Hopefully we'll have a good travelling support over there in Dublin."
