Nearly three weeks after the original squad was announced Italy has added three more
players to their original list of 27.
The additions are flanker Andrea De Rossi, prop Andrea Lo Cicero and fly half Andrea Scanavacca. Back row player Orazio Arancio (pictured) who underwent knee surgery a month ago passed a fitness test and will take part in the competition as did flanker Mauro Bergamasco and winger Paolo Vaccari.
However prop Giampiero De Carli has finally given up hope of being fit in time for the RWC and has withdrawn from the squad making way for 26 year old Argentinian born Alessandro Moreno. Moreno, uncapped for Italy, currently plays for French club Agen.
