Wilkinson extends Toulon contract

Jonny Wilkinson has extended his deal with French Top 14 side Toulon for another year.
The England fly-half's contract with the club was due to expire at the end of the current campaign but he has elected to prolong his stay. He joined Philippe Saint-Andre's side in the summer of 2009 from his long-time club Newcastle and was an instant success. He currently leads the Top 14 scoring charts.
Toulon are currently fourth in the league and have booked a European Challenge Cup quarter-final against the Scarlets. Wilkinson is currently in camp with England as they prepare for the Six Nations, having rekindled his international ambitions in November.
"I'm really happy here," he told AFP. "The team is fantastic. It's really great: the players, the coaches, the people, the Mayol stadium. It's a pleasure and I hope that all will go well. I have a lot of ambition for Toulon."
Toulon also confirmed two-year contract extensions for centre Gabriele Lovobalavu and winger Christian Loamanu.
