Lap 53

Rosberg wins the Russian Grand Prix! His fourth win in a row this season and his seventh in a row over the last two years.

Hamilton secures second from tenth on the grid with Raikkonen crossing the line 6.9s behind in third. Bottas takes a solid fourth place finish ahead of team-mate Massa.

Alonso sets a personal best to take sixth one lap down.Magnussen takes seventh for Renault, the first points for the French manufacturer on its return, ahead of Grosjean in eighth.

Rosberg's lead now stands at 43 points over Hamilton with just four races completed.

Rosberg shakes Putin hand in the holding room before the podium along with a brief and slightly awkward conversation.

----------------------------------------------------------------- Rosberg starts the final lap with a fastest lap and a lead of 20.7s over Hamilton. That means Rosberg should secure victory with fastest lap and pole position. That lap was a second under the old lap record and proof of the pace Mercedes has around here if it needs it.

Raikkonen is 6s off Hamilton, who now appears to be cruising to the line.

Lap 52

Two laps left. Rosberg is 17.5s in the lead, Hamilton is 8.2s ahead of Raikkonen.

Button is closing the gap to the Grosjean/Perez battle, but I don't fancy his chances of getting close enough to try a move.

Lap 51

Rosberg's lead stands at 15.3s, with Raikkonen 8.2s off Hamilton.

Ricciardo passes Palmer for 12th place at Turn 13.

Perez's tyres are nine laps younger than Grosjean's, which is allowing him to push, but the Haas is keeping him behind for now.

Lap 50

Perez continues to put pressure on Grosjean for eighth place, but that Haas is looking in good shape with no mistakes from Grosjean.

Lap 49

Grosjean is 0.5s ahead of Perez in the battle for eighth, but seems to have it under control.

Raikkonen's gap to Hamilton is down to 8.6s, but still no major concerns for Mercedes.

Great move by Button on Sainz in the penultimate corner to take tenth place on the road. A good move by the McLaren driver who joins his team-mate in the points.

Lap 48

Button now attacking Sainz for 10th. He will get that position anyway once Sainz's penalty is applied, but the McLaren driver will want to attack Perez two seconds down the road.

Massa rejoined 18s ahead of Alonso in the end and now has 5-lap old super-softs on with five lap remaining.
