Scotland head coach Andy Robinson has been rocked by the news that Alasdair Strokosch will miss the country's entire autumnal programme through injury.

The 27-year-old Gloucester flanker suffered knee ligament damage in his club's Aviva Premiership clash with Harlequins at the weekend and it was confirmed on Tuesday that Strokosch will be out of action for six weeks.

As a result, Robinson will have to make do without the player for the November Tests against New Zealand, South Africa and Samoa.

"We wish Alasdair a speedy recovery," the former England boss commented. "We may yet draft another player into the squad for our training camp in St Andrews next week and we'll discuss that after the matches this weekend."
