Scotland A recovered from a poor first-half showing to claim an ultimately facile 32-13 victory over the Ireland Wolfhounds at Netherdale on Friday night.

Debutant Willie Faloon flopped over for an early converted try for the visitors, after initially being denied by an excellent last-ditch challenge from Hefin O'Hare, and six subsequent points from the boot of Ulster fly-half Ian Humphreys helped the visitors into a deserved 13-9 advantage at the interval.

However, Scotland bossed the second period, registering tries through Moray Low and Hefin O'Hare as they went about destroying Ireland at the breakdown. Low dotted after a powerful catch-and-drive from the pack, while O'Hare blazed through to score late on after being released by Fraser McKenzie.

The Scots' second-half superiority on the deck also yielded a succession of penalties and fly-half David Blair ended the game with 22 points to his name.
