Edinburgh head coach Michael Bradley was full of praise for his side after they notched a stunning 48-47 victory over Racing Metro in their Heineken Cup clash at Murrayfield.

Eleven tries were scored in a pulsating game, with Tim Visser going over after 35 seconds and again after 76 minutes - a score Greig Laidlaw converted to claim victory. "What a treat to be involved in a game like that," said Bradley. "You might say a draw would've been a fair result, maybe 50 each. We'll take 48-47.

"People talk about Scottish rugby and talk about the pro clubs needing to perform - you won't get a better game this year than that game of rugby you just saw today. Racing were stunning in attack. It was just so hard to defend them."

Flying Dutchman Visser, who will qualify to play for Scotland at the end of the season, scored Edinburgh's first and sixth tries as they claimed a second win from two games following last weekend's success at London Irish. The hosts scored 17 points in the opening 10 minutes but conceded 28 unanswered points and were trailing by 20 with 14 minutes remaining before the late response. Netani Talei, Tom Brown, Roddy Grant and Laidlaw, who added six conversions and two penalties in a 23-point haul, also crossed for tries.

Racing finished with five tries of their own - for Julien Saubade, Juan Imhoff, Henry Chavancy (two) and Jonathan Wisniewski, who kicked 20 points. But the sin-binning of replacement Jone Qovu 11 minutes from time was key as Edinburgh triumphed.

Asked about his heart rate during the match, Bradley said: "At one stage it was flat-lined, on the basis that the game was lost. Then it builds up into a bit of a crescendo and you're thinking `If Greig gets this kick we're actually going to win this match 48-47'. That was probably the toughest moment in the day. Then he slots it and we won the game so that was great."

Edinburgh could have lost the match with the final move, but Juan Martin Hernandez, who earlier kicked a conversion, scuffed his drop-goal attempt. "That was important as well," Bradley added. "It would've been difficult [to lose], but it was equally as difficult for Racing - they scored 47 points and didn't win a match away from home, playing fantastic rugby.

"Racing are fantastic going forward, but defensively you tend to see them in unusual positions. We were aware there was potential to have space behind their backline when they move forward. It was nice to see those first two tries go in and then all of a sudden we got blown off the pitch."

Bradley believes the come-from-behind win at London Irish and tonight's success can spur his side on in the Heineken Cup campaign, which will continue with the trip to Cardiff Blues next month. "I'm sure it will do them a world of confidence," Bradley added. "It's huge. We've nine points instead of two. It's a good start."

Visser was thrilled, but could not watch Laidlaw's winning conversion. He said: "It was the best and worst game to play in at the same time. An emotional rollercoaster. To come back like that is just stunning, incredible."
