Australia recorded success rates of 94% and 87% at the scrum and lineout respectively in this year's Rugby Championship, a marked improvement on their efforts in 2014; last year they won 75% of their scrum feeds and 81% of their throws.

England have recorded seven straight victories at Twickenham, their best run of its kind since they posted 22 home wins between 1999 and 2003; the last game of that previous run came just prior to the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia, which they won against the Wallabies in Sydney.

Wales' past nine results at the Millennium Stadium have alternated between victory and defeat; they won their last game there, against Italy on September 5.

Fiji have scored at least three tries in each of their past seven Tests.

Uruguay have lost 10 of their 13 matches in 2015, giving them a win rate of just 23%; only once before (20% in 2001) have they recorded a lower rate in a year when they have played 5+ Test matches.

South Africa's lineout (88%) and scrum (81%) success rates are down on their 2014 averages (91% and 88% respectively).

Samoa's past three Tests have averaged more than 56 points scored, with both sides notching 20+ in each of those matches (W1 D1 L1).

Scotland have scored at least one try in each of their past 12 Tests, crossing the whitewash in only five of their previous 11 matches.

Japan are the only side to concede more than1000 points (1159) in the history of the tournament, at an average of 48 points per game.

United States managed 22 defenders in their final RWC warm-up match against Australia, in Chicago, compared with just 18 by the x-point winners.

New Zealand have better lineout (95%) and scrum (98%) success rates than any other tier one nation this year.

Argentina's scrum success rate was just 68% in their Rugby Championship Tests against Australia, South Africa and New Zealand this year - the lowest of any nation in tier one-versus-tier one Tests.

Tonga have scored at least one try in all but two of their 21 matches at the Rugby World Cup, with only Ireland (1987) and New Zealand (1999) shutting them out.

Georgia have lost their past four Tests, scoring just 47 points while conceding 100.

Namibia have played the most RWC matches without registering a win (15).

France rank No.4 of the Six Nations and Rugby Championship sides this year for average defenders beaten (18.5), but ninth for clean breaks (5.8). This excludes Argentina's Tests against South American nations

Ireland scored just eight tries in their five matches in winning the Six Nations, five fewer than Wales (13) and 10 fewer than England (18). Joe Schmidt's men also averaged the most time in possession (20m19s) at the tournament.

Italy have three players with 100+ caps in their squad; only New Zealand (4) have more.

Canada have been involved in two of the three draws in Rugby World Cup history, both against Japan, in 2007 and 2011.

Romania have played nine games in 2015, including three against teams participating in the World Cup. The Europeans defeated Namibia (43-3) - their biggest win since March 2012 - but lost to Tonga (21-16) and Georgia (15-6).
