Paterson doubtful for Northampton clash
December 7, 1999
Edinburgh Reivers fly half Chris Paterson is battling to be fit for this weekend's Heineken Cup tie at Northampton after damaging ligaments in his knee while representing Scotland in the Dubai sevens.
The injury forced him to miss last Sunday's Welsh Scottish league win over Caerphilly but the hope is that he will recover in time.
"Chris will be undergoing intensive rehabilitation this week, but we hope he could be available," said Chief Executive Nick Oswald. The three other Reivers players who picked up injuries in last weeks trip to the middle east, Dererick Lee, Conan Sharman and Marcus di Rollo are all set to recover in time for Saturday's visit south.
