Declan Kidney has made two changes to the side which played the last of the group games for Saturday's Heineken Cup quarter final against Stade Francais.
The withdrawal of Jason Holland, following the death of his girlfriend's father, means a recall in the centre for Killian Keane while Eddie Halvey is preferred to Alan Quinlan in the back row. "It was a tough call given Alan's form for us over the course of the season," said Kidney. "But Eddie is currently on top of his game for Shannon and fully deserves this opportunity now. He also brings different attributes to the cause."
He will increase the option at the line out where he can act as a floater, between Mick Galwey at the front, John Langford in the middle and Anthony Foley at the back.
The only worry for Munster is out half Ronan O'Gara who injured his ankle in training on Wednesday. He is expected to be fit but should he withdraw Kidney is likely to move Keane to fly half and switch John Kelly to the centre, allowing John O'Neill to take Kelly's place on the wing.
Significantly Stade Francais have included two key players, Christophe Dominici and Christophe Juillet, whoo have recently been carrying injuries in their squad of 23 for the game. George Costes is expected to name his final line-up on Friday afternoon.
