Reds welcome Macfadyen back

Glasgow Caledonians will welcome back open-side flanker Donnie Macfadyen after he has overcome a gastric complaint that kept him out of the weekend's narrow win against Pontypridd.

The win was the Scottish side's first in Pool 6, led by Leicester after their win against Pau last week, and the English champions need only a draw on Saturday to ensure they win the group.

Macfadyen was forced to withdraw from the team that won at Perth on Sunday just minutes before kick off. His return means Gordon Simpson switches to blind side, and Roland Reid returns to the replacements' bench.

Glasgow side: 15 Rowen Shepherd, 14 Jonathan Steel, 13 James McLaren, 12 Jon Stuart, 11 Shaun Longstaff, 10 Tommy Hayes, 9 Andy Nicol (captain), 1 David Hilton, 2 Gordon Bulloch, 3 Gordon McIlwham, 4 Jason White, 5 Steve Griffiths, 6 Gordon Simpson, 7 Donnie Macfadyen, 8 Jon Petrie, Replacements: 16 Carlo di Ciacca,
17 Alan Watt 18 Stewart Campbell, 19 Roland Reid, 20 Fraser Stott,
21 Alan Bulloch 22 James Craig.
