Nicol regains Scottish captaincy

Fit again scrum half Andy Nicol has regained the Scottish captaincy for the Six Nations opener against France.

The Glasgow Caledonians player last captained the side on the summer tour to New Zealand - but was forced to miss the autumn tests, when Budge Pountney led the side.

Pountney is named as vice captain of a squad which sees three other players return to the test arena - James McLaren, Martin Leslie and Mattie Stewart - all of who missed the three autumn tests.
