Hawick pulled away in the final quarter at Kirkcaldy to just take the points in this BT Scotland Premiership match.

Kirkcaldy made a great start and led 10-0 after just 10 minutes with a try from Derek McCombe, but Hawick fought back and tied the score with a Gavin Douglas try.

In an exciting finish to the first half, Quintan Sanft scored for Kirkcaldy and Daniel Landels immediately crossed for Hawick, who led 23-20 at the turn.

In the second half an exchange of penalties took the score to 26-26 after 65 minutes.

However, Hawick then scored a try through Colin Murray and went on to win.

For Hawick Neil Stenhouse kicked two conversions and three penalties while Gavin Douglas kicked a conversion and two penalties. Ben Price converted the Kirkcaldy tries and kicked four penalties while Sanft dropped a goal.
