London Scottish Select XV v Bedford School OB

Former London Scottish player David McGavin (aged 28) died in a car accident on 19 August 2000. David played 1st XV rugby for London Scottish as both an amateur and professional player and was a key member of the marketing team of London Scottish Rugby plc. A former pupil of Bedford School, David also played rugby for Bedford Rugby Club and captained Scotland U21.

The London Scottish squad has been assembled from the current 1st XV and former 1st XV players.

THE DAVID McGAVIN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
David was passionate about both the Net and world mission. The Oasis Trust initiative, Wire the World, aims to provide IT skills to some of the poorest people in the world, which will enable them to break out of the cycle of poverty.

The David McGavin Scholarship Fund will provide resources for some of these young people to go on to further education and fulfill their potential.
